Research & development is one of the main pillars within Repair Care. For more than 30 years we have listened to our customers, we know the users of our products and we know what is going on. It is practice that gives us our direction.
Today, the market expects clean, sustainable and energy-efficient products. That is why we have been investing for years in innovative solutions. High-quality products are the result of this continuous focus on sustainability and quality. We dare to state that this is now intertwined within our DNA. For example, regarding the environment we have also taken our first steps by using biobased materials and recycling plastic waste.
With the entire development process and production line under our own management, we are able to search worldwide for the very best raw materials for our repair products, packaging and tools.
To ensure full control over all quality aspects We only work with carefully selected partners. These organisations share our visions and like us, strive for an continous improvement.

Testing, testing, testing …
Testing during product development
Testing is the daily reality at Repair Care. This starts with the product development phase and ends … well, this actually never ends.
Full testing is taking place during the product development phase. For example, we test mechanical properties. Because wood is constantly on the move. It shrinks and expands. And it requires knowledge and skills to be able to handle this property well. This knowlede enables us to develop pleasantly processable products that are and remain sufficiently strong and elastic.

Our excellently equipped development and testing laboratory is crucial here. And where would we be without our own test station in Austria, where we expose our products to the most extreme conditions for years at a height of 1075 m. Nowhere are our products tested more strictly than here.
Continuous research by independent institutes such as TNO and the German IFT complete the picture. In cooperation with TNO for example, we developed a special test system for frame repairs in 1992. Which is still used today.
Repair Care also continues to develop here. For example, our products have recently been KOMO certified and the products from our BIO FLEX ™ product line carry the “OK biobased” certification from TÜV Austria.
Testing from practice
Valuable information also always comes back from practice. During development, craftsmen in the field are subjected to “blind” tests.
Our products only go on the market if we are completely satisfied with them. But also afterwards we are seeking continous improvement. Here too, feedback from our customers is essential. It broadens market knowledge and deepens cooperation. It also ensures that accurate project support becomes possible. These tests and assessments include drilling sample analysis, both during and after the execution of the work.
The result of all of this effort is something that we at Repair Care are proud of: delivering quality, in which ease of use, speed, safety and sustainability are central. This provides groundbreaking formulas and products in the long term, useful improvements in the medium term and the daily recurring, practical advice to users.
It is not without reason that we have been a global player in the wood repair market for years and the absolute market leader in England, the Netherlands and Germany.
